Breast Enhancement

Breast augmentation, or mammoplasty, is a cosmetic surgery performed to increase the size and shape of the breast. The main objective in doing so is to increase one's sexual appeal.

Breast augmentation has been a center of controversy for three decades. This is supposed to be a risky procedure, causing a particular disorder in the person's anatomy, and the argument is whether it is prudent to gamble with health in order to obtain an inaccurate number of hours of adventure. Although the debate over breast implants is a relatively contemporary phenomenon, the surgery itself is not so modern. Historical evidence shows that Japanese women were used to inject silicone directly into their breasts during World War II.

Prior to the discovery of silicone as implant material, other materials such as paraffin were used for breast implants. Thomas Cronin and Frank Gerow, two plastic surgeons from Houston, were the first to develop silicone as a transfer material with the Dow Corning Corporation in 1961 and the first transplant was performed on women in 1962.

One of the major objections to this cosmetic prosthesis is the use of silicone gels, which have been restricted as implants by the Food and Drug Administration in the United States. Breast implants are suspected to cause autoimmune disease, but there is no documentation to confirm this fact. The dangers known as breast enlargement are asymmetry, vision, palpitation, rupture, deflation, infection, scarring, and hardening of the implant capsule.

The strong opposition to breast implants came from feminist groups who saw it as a conquest of women to men to grow their sexual desire. It is unknown to the stars and media women who undergo such surgery to improve their careers; and in the process, it is in favor of the distribution that it is the human world.
