In such a situation (shown in the above conversation), when he complains that he is always thinking of his intention, he will continue to reason that he is too critical and demanding even when he is trying to solve his problem. She feels valued and mistaken. And afterwards he would not realize how easy it was for him to move closer and love to be distant and unresponsive.
